About us
Villa del Pittore is a historic Tuscan villa in Le Vedute, Fucecchio, birthplace of the journalist Indro Montanelli. The Fucecchio-born painter Arturo Checchi found refuge here during the Second World War. Four generations later, his paintings still hang on the walls. We are restoring the villa to open as a holiday residence in 2027.
Just 2km from Ponte a Cappiano on the Via Francigena, which every year welcomes 50,000 pilgrims, and a short drive from Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Vinci, San Miniato and San Gimignano.
